About Rang Studio
Art is not
decoration.
It is memory.
Rang Studio is where colour finds intention, where surfaces become stories, and where every brushstroke carries the weight of something real. We are not a shop. We are a studio — and there is a difference.
Every colour
is a conversation.
Every wall,
a canvas waiting.

The Studio
A space where
craft is the
only currency.
Rang Studio was born from a deep and stubborn belief — that art made by a human hand, for a specific space, for a specific person, will always outperform anything made for the mass market. That the texture of a brushstroke matters. That the time spent on a piece is not a cost, but a gift transferred from artist to owner.
We work in Pune, Maharashtra, at the intersection of Indian artistic heritage and the contemporary spaces our clients live and work in. We bring those two worlds together — not as a compromise, but as a conversation.
What we produce is not interior decor in the conventional sense. It is something more private — a visual language built around you, your walls, your objects, your celebrations. Made once. Made to last.
Two brands. One soul.
Rang is our custom art studio — where paintings are commissioned, walls are transformed, and large-scale artworks find their permanent home. Every Rang piece is made to brief, reviewed at every stage, and delivered to the client as the only version of itself that will ever exist.
Fifty Shades by Rang is where that same artistic language moves into the objects of everyday life — hand-painted cushion covers, wooden trays, bottles, bags, mugs and festive gift hampers. Objects that carry art into your hands, not just onto your walls.
Both brands share the same commitment: everything is painted by hand, everything is made with intention, and nothing is ever replicated. There is no warehouse of stock. There is only the studio, and whatever is being made inside it today.
We do not paint for walls. We paint for the people who will stand in front of those walls, every morning, and feel something.
Rang Studio — Pune
What We Create
Art that lives
in every corner
of your world.
Original artworks painted to your brief — any size, any theme, any emotion. Abstract, figurative, spiritual, floral, portrait. The canvas is blank until we know who it is for.
We come to your space — home, office, restaurant, hotel — and paint directly on your walls. Transformations that cannot be shipped. Art that belongs to a room as much as the room belongs to it.
Cushion covers, wooden trays, lamp covers, furniture, bottles, bags, mugs — everyday objects lifted into art. Indian motifs, contemporary palettes, and the same care as any large painting.
Hand-painted gift hampers for Diwali, weddings, housewarmings and milestones. Gifts that carry a brushstroke, not a barcode. Curated and assembled by hand for every occasion.
Lobby installations, branded artwork sets, office murals, bulk gifting for teams. We work with designers, architects and HR teams to bring living art into workspaces that demand more than white walls.
Our signature collection — Ganesha rendered in green, celebrating the intersection of the sacred and the sustainable. A collector's favourite and our most gifted series, available as framed originals and prints.
Drawing from centuries of Indian visual vocabulary — colour, motif, spirituality and craft.
No prints. No mass production. Every surface touched by an artist with intention.
No two pieces from Rang Studio are identical. Yours is the only one of its kind.
Every brief is a conversation. Every piece is made knowing exactly who it is going home to.
About the Artist
The Hand
Behind the Colour.
An artist does not choose what to paint. The painting chooses the artist who has lived enough to understand it.
At Rang Studio, our artists are not executors of a brief. They are collaborators, translators, and the final word on what makes a piece right. Each one brings a distinct visual language — shaped by years of practice, by Indian artistic traditions, and by the particular way they see colour and space.
To commission from Rang Studio is to enter into a creative relationship. We share our portfolio. We ask questions your interior designer might not think to ask. We look at your reference images and read between them — for the mood beneath the visual, not just the style on the surface.
And then we paint. Slowly, carefully, with full commitment to the brief and the courage to go beyond it when the work demands.
"The brief
is where
art begins.
Not where
it ends."
What Drives the Work
Painting is not
a skill. It is a
way of seeing.
Every artist at Rang Studio brings something irreplaceable — a distinct eye, a preference for particular palettes, an affinity for certain moods and textures. We do not homogenise that. We celebrate it. When we match an artist to a brief, we are not assigning a task. We are making a creative introduction.
What unites every artist in this studio is not style — it is standard. The belief that a piece is not finished until it is right. That every square inch of a canvas deserves the same attention as the centrepiece. That art made for someone's home should feel like it was made for their soul.
Our artists draw from the deep well of Indian visual tradition — Warli, Madhubani, Tanjore, folk motifs, Mughal geometry — reimagined for contemporary spaces without losing their soul.
Reading a client brief is itself an art. Our artists are trained to look beyond the reference image — to find the mood, the feeling, the context of the space — and translate all of that into the work.
Canvas, wall, wood, fabric, ceramic, glass — each surface demands different technique, different paint, different touch. Our artists do not have one medium. They have as many as the work requires.
Nothing leaves the studio without passing through multiple layers of review — the artist's own eye, the Creative Head's approval, and the question that every piece must answer: does this feel right?
How a Rang Piece is Born
From your words
to your walls.
We begin with your brief — your vision, your space, your references, your feeling. No two conversations are the same.
We match the right artist to your project — based on style, sensibility and speciality. Not just availability.
Your piece is created. At the halfway point, we share progress. You see the work taking shape before it is complete.
Every finished piece is reviewed by the Creative Head before it moves an inch closer to you. Quality is not optional here.
Your artwork arrives — packed with care, delivered on time, and installed if it lives on a wall. Then we ask only one thing: how does it feel?
Your wall is waiting
for its story.
Tell us what you have in mind. We will tell you what is possible. The first conversation is always free, always without obligation, and always the most interesting part.
